Marilyn Dolores McCann Marilyn Dolores McCann died on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Aria Health Bucks Campus in Langhorne. She was 80 years old. Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Alfred and Ellen (Hughes) Reuter, she was raised in Penndel, PA and has been a longtime resident of Levittown. Mrs. McCann was a 1951 graduate of Langhorne High School and she attended Pierce Junior College. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington, PA. Until her retirement in 1996, Mrs. McCann was an employee at William Penn Middle School in the Pennsbury School District for over 20 years. She was also active in the Pennsbury High School Prom Committee activities. Mrs. McCann was a dedicated softball coach for Levittown American Athletic Association for many years and was a former President of the P.T.A. at Manor Elementary School in the Pennsbury School District. She loved politics and was an active Democrat. She also enjoyed crocheting, was an avid reader and loved to travel and talk politics. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Paul McCann, Mrs. McCann was the loving mother of Brian McCann (Pam) and Susan Mercurio (John). She was the devoted sister of Mary Carver of Langhorne, PA. She will also be sadly missed by her granddaughter, Samantha Schweikert; her great grandson, Trent; her nieces and nephew, Bernadette, Frank and Laura; and her many friends. Mrs. McCann was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother, Alfred R. Reuter. The family extends their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Aria Health Bucks Campus ICU for the tender care given to their mother during her convalescence. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington, PA 19054 where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Saint Joseph the Worker Church at the above address.
