Leslie died suddenly on August 18 surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary Medical Center. Born September 5, 1948 in Philadelphia, she was 73 years old. She was a 1966 graduate of Pennsbury High School.
Leslie was predeceased by her parents James and Louise Ashcraft, as well as her siblings James and Mary Lou. She is also predeceased by her parents-in-law Thomas and Regina McCarthy.
Leslie is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert (Bob) and her five devoted children, daughter Judi, sons, Robert (Lynne), Jim, Daniel (Emily), and Stephen and the lights of her life - grandchildren James and Sean.
She is also survived by two brothers William (Lori) and Richard. Brothers in Law Thomas (Sarah), and Joseph, sisters-in-law Kathleen (John), Eileen (Ed), Susan (late John Harder), Patti (John), many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a very large extended family.
Leslie loved to travel, entertain, and was an avid reader. She shared her love of books with the community with her Free Little Library that she took great pride in stocking and maintaining. She was a proud and active parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker in Fallsington, later merging with St. Frances Cabrini in Fairless Hills. She also volunteered in and contributed towards many organizations and charitable causes. All who knew her regarded her for the depth of her love, friendship, care, and thoughtfulness.
Her very grateful family would like to thank the incredible team of people at St. Mary Medical Center who took such amazing care of her, and all of us, in her final days.
Family and friends may call from 9 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 22nd at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills where words of remembrance will be shared beginning at 10:30 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
