Joseph Patrick Ott Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Marie H. (Lyons) and Joseph Patrick Ott Sr., he had lived at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, DC and moved with his family to Levittown in 1953.

After graduating from the former Woodrow Wilson High School, Joe joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, VA.

In 1969, Joe met the love of his life, Deanna. They married in 1970 and together they had 4 children.

After his time in the Navy, he started his working career as a warehouseman and was a dedicated worker until his retirement in 2012.

Joe's passions were hunting and camping. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending his time gardening and being in nature. He was a huge supporter of Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies.

Joe (known to his siblings as "Sonny" and to his grandchildren as "Poppy") will be sadly missed by his loving family.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Deanna K. (Varner), Joe is the loving father of Lori Manzella (Salvatore), Lisa Norton (John), and Joey Ott; devoted grandfather of TJ, Travis and Taylor Shields and Francesca, Isabella and Angelina Manzella; and dear brother of Marie Ott, JoAnn Chase (Jim), Nancy Bobbing, Karen Ott and James T. Ott.

He will also be sadly missed by his Australian Sheepdog, Elvis.

Joe was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Theresa Ott; and his brothers, Thomas and Stephen Ott.

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Thursday, October 13, 2022, 9:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown. The Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. There will be no calling hours.
