Joseph E. Malloy Joseph E. Malloy, age 91, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Manor Care in Yardley, PA following a brief illness. Mr. Malloy was born in Philadelphia and later became an original Levittown homeowner residing in the Holly Hill section since 1953. He was a member of the Greatest Generation and, as a teen, served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. In 1942, Mr. Malloy enlisted in the United States Navy where he served two tours. He was a decorated Veteran of WWII and was extremely proud of his service aboard the USS Dixie in the Pacific Fleet. He was a lifetime member of the John Billington VFW Post #6495 and American Legion Post #960. A machinist by trade, Mr. Malloy retired from National Can Corp. Mr. Malloy was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Joan E. (Herbert) Malloy. He is survived by his three children, Patricia Greiner (John) of Ocean City, MD; Joseph (Linda); John (Deborah) both of Fairless Hills, PA; and his terrific neighbors, the Torres family. Mr. Malloy will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne. There will be no evening calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to the John Billington Post #6495, 1605 Haines Road, Levittown, PA 19055.
