John Thomas "Jack" Mulhern Sr.

Jack was a life-long Philadelphia Electrical Contractor, and was President of J.Mulhern Electric Company from 1955 to 1980.

Born on August 10, 1930, in Philadelphia to Anna (Hughes) Mulhern and James Patrick Mulhern, Jack grew up on North 17th Street near Girard Avenue and attended grades one through eight at the Gesu School. At the Gesu Church next door, Jack served countless Jesuit Missionary Masses as an Altar Boy. He attended Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School graduating in 1948.

On May 10, 1952, Jack married Theresa McGrenra at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Germantown. The wedding mass was officiated by Father John Mulhern. Jack and Theresa raised five children from their life-long residence in Levittown, PA. Jack will always be remembered for his quiet kindness and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his children: John (Rita), Jerry (Susan), Patricia, Terrence (Marie) and Timothy (Eileen); ten grandchildren: John, Michael, Patrice, Joseph, Mark, Terrence, Jr., Abbey, Jayne, Timothy and Meghan; and eight great grandchildren: Luke, Samuel, Cora, Molly, Margaret, Jack, Patrick and Edward.
