Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jack has been a resident of Langhorne since 1984. After graduating from John Bartram High School, Jack served in the Air Force for six years. He then went onto a career of truck driving before retiring after 23 years. He worked part-time jobs over the years to stay busy.
Jack was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth Gorman for 58 years. He was the loving father of John (Jill) Gorman of Langhorne. He is also survived by one granddaughter Haleigh Gorman of Oahu, Hawaii and grandson Steven Martin of Langhorne.
Jack was a fantastic dancer with an extensive music collection. He was an avid Philly sports fan with a huge collection of Flyers memorabilia. He could often be found at “mans day” with his son John and his friends for various draft parties or play-off games. He coached both his son and granddaughter in soccer. He loved bowling, card games, movies, cars and playing with dolls with his granddaughter Haleigh.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 5 pm until 7 pm, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where a Life Celebration will held at 7 pm. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s name may be made to the Women’s Animal Center, Bensalem PA or a charity of donor's choice.
