Born in Toms River, NJ, the son of Jean (Hoffman) Nugent and the late James A. Nugent Sr., he has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County and a member of Queen of the Universe Parish, Levittown.
He retired from Amtrak after 30 years and was a US Navy veteran.
Mr. Nugent enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and loved the beach.
His grandchildren meant the world to him.
He is survived by his wife Yvette Nugent, his son's James Nugent and Brandon Nugent, his daughter-in-law Jessica Nugent; his three grandchildren Matthew, Josh, Ella; mother Jean Hoffman Nugent and brother Douglas Nugent.
He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Nugent was predeceased by his father; sister, Kathleen Knauer; and brother, Gregory Nugent.
