George Sabo III George Sabo III passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne at the age of 63. He served two tours of duty with the United States Army as a combat medic and evacuation Helicopter Medic in Vietnam, receiving the silver star. He served as Chaplain of the Elks in Morrisville for many years. George was in charge of the Veterans Committee and made numerous visits to the Veterans Hospital with other special Elk members to bring food and refreshments to the patients. He worked at Rohm and Haas for five years as a Chemical operator, and at Staley for fifteen years as a lead operator. He also was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and a Trustee. George enjoyed fishing and all sports. He was famous for his Halloween decorations in the Junewood section of Levittown. Beloved husband of 41 years to Elizabeth "Betty" (Hendricks), Mr. Sabo is the loving father of George (Suzanne) of Levittown and Gregory (Shannon) of Lansford, PA, the proud grandfather of Gabrielle, Sophia, Greg, Madison and Nick and the brother of Carol Bawell (Elias). He will also be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, 4:00 until 6:00 pm and on Monday, 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown. Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
