George grew up in Pensacola, Florida prior to moving to PA in 2002. He enjoyed bowling, basketball and soccer. George was also a participant in the Special Olympics. Over the years he loved going to the beach.
Predeceased by his parents, Lt. Commander Leo C. and Christine Hester; his brother, W/O Leo C. Hester, Jr.; and his sister, Carol Myers. George is a Gold Star son and a Gold Star brother. Both his father and brother were pilots killed two years apart in Vietnam.
The staff and friends at Delta will truly miss him. The love and bond they had with George was indescribable.
George is survived by his devoted sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Sam Augustine; his brother-in-law, Ronnie Myers and 29 nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Saint Francis Cabrini, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. A mass of Christian burial will be held immediately after at 9:30.
George will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery on the NAS Pensacola base.
