Ethel M. Davis Ethel M. Davis died peacefully on Sunday January 27, 2013 at Wood River Village. She was 87. Born in Trenton, she lived in Ewing, New Jersey until moving to Levittown in 1955. She was the daughter of the late Marie and Earl Van Horn. Ethel was a 1945 graduate of Trenton High School and as a child she enjoyed spending her summers growing up at the Jersey Shore. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Samuel L. Davis. She was a devoted wife, and they enjoyed all their travels together. She is also survived by her daughters, Mary Ann MacKenzie and her husband Ross and Katherine Carter and her husband Edmond. She was the loving grandmother to David MacKenzie (Katie), Christopher Carter (Jennifer), Allison MacKenzie Hunter (Bradley), Michael Carter (Jessica) and Elizabeth Jones ( Jeffrey). She had 3 great-grandchildren, Gregor, Maryn, and Kylie. The family wishes to thank the Wood River Village community and health care workers as well as her hospice caregivers for their care. The memorial service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
