Eileen Shelhamer Eileen Shelhamer (nee Fox), age 87, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bristol after a lengthy illness of Alzheimers Disease. Mrs. Shelhamer was born June 14, 1926 in Glen Lyon, PA, and graduated from the Nanticoke School District in 1944. She served in the United States Army Cadets, becoming a Registered Nurse at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Fairless Hills and Fallsington. Mrs. Shelhamer worked as a registered nurse for many years until retiring in 2000. She was employed at Lower Bucks Hospital and Mercer Medical Center and also worked at Statesman Nursing Home, Maple Manor Nursing Home and the Pennsbury School District. Mrs. Shelhamer was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish where she was active with the Legion of Mary and the Blue Army. She was also a member of the Fairless Hills Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Shelhamer was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Shelhamer, daughter of the late Patrick and Nellie (Ojewicz) Fox and sister of the late Katherine Fox. She is the loving mother of Anne Lastichen and her husband Tim of Fallsington and Robert W. Shelhamer and his wife Camille of Levittown. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, Eric, Michael, Kaitlyn and Timothy; her sister-in-law, Miltida Shelhamer (the late Elmer) and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 8:30 until 9:30 am at Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. The Rosary will be recited, Saturday, 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church, 31 S. Market Street, Glen Lyon, PA followed by the Rite of Committal at 11:30 am in the Committal Shelter, in St. Adelbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, mass cards would be appreciated.
