Dr. John F. Glodek of Phoenixville died on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He was 83.Born in Larksville, PA, he was a son of the late Anthony J. and Anna N. (Stelmack) Glodek. Dr. Glodek was a former longtime resident of Levittown, where he had his own ophthalmology practice for 46 years until retiring.He was a U.S. Army veteranDr. Glodek was the beloved husband of the late Carolyn A. (Selecky) Glodek and the loving father of the late Benjamin, Damien and John B. Glodek and Adriane M. (Glodek) Kraemer.He is survived by his son-in-law, Douglas Kraemer.Dr. Glodek was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and loved to study the Bible. He also enjoyed working out, World War II movies, and playing the harmonica.Family and friends are invited to call from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
