Born in Trenton, NJ, daughter of the late Mary (Forte) and Joseph F. Perillo, Doris has been a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County. She grew up in Lower Makefield Township, attended Saint John the Evangelist School and was a graduate of Pennsbury High School.
She loved animals and football, and was a major supporter of the Eagles. She was a great dancer and her smile will light up a room.
Doris began her working career at General Motors, eventually transitioning to a job as a Home Healthcare Aide and as a hospice worker, devoting her time to healing.
She was a free spirit who loved going to the beach and enjoying the sand and surf. She also enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her friends and family.
She loved her mother's Christmas cookies and percolated coffee. She also enjoyed visiting with Marie on Sunday's to talk and share a meal.
Doris had a big heart and was a truly, loyal friend.
Doris is survived by her devoted niece and nephews, Lucianne Conyers (Anthony), Solomon Perillo (Michele) and Joseph Perillo (Bianca); and her beloved best friends, Lori, Annie, Nikki and Kim and family.
Doris will also be sadly missed by her fur babies, Atticus and Moses.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Phyllis Perillo.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 6:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. The family will have a visitation following the service from 6:30 until 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Doris' name may be made to the ASPCA or a charity of donor's choice.
