Don was an alumnus of Temple University where he received his degree in computer science.
He was a life-long salesman who made easy conversation with everyone he met. His passions for coaching and refereeing CYO sports allowed him to make an impact on many. Don was a passionate and vocal Philadelphia sports fan. (Go Birds!) After retiring, Don enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with his grandchildren, and exploring entrepreneurial endeavors. He was happiest surrounded by his friends and family around the dinner table, and continued the tradition of making his home the “home base” with Marianne. Don and Marianne shared quality time and laughter eating and drinking at all of the local inns and eateries along the Delaware and at the Jersey Shore.
Taken from the world too soon, Don will be missed by all the people fortunate enough to know him.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.
