Donald H. Dripps

He was the son of the late, James and Ethel Dripps and was born and raised in Philadelphia.

After graduation from school, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Don started his career after the conflict with Bell of PA “Ma Bell” telephone company.

Upon completion of his military service, Don married Margaret Rose (Peggy) and moved to Levittown to start a family. They raised three children, Donald Hugh Dripps Jr. (Adrienne), David Alan Dripps (Tracey), Doreen Lynne Koellner (Michael). He has seven grandchildren, Eric Dripps (Tara Brouillet), Sarah Melvin (Lee), Ashley Sams (Casey), Jordan Tryon (David), Krista Koellner (Jose Martinez), Kyle Koellner (Jillian), and Kelsey Koellner and also nine great grandchildren.

Don loved spending time at their shore house in Ocean City and fishing in his boat the “Double D”. He was a season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Eagles for many years. He also enjoyed watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies and reading.

Don is also survived by his brother James Dripps (Janet), and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Dripps and his wife Lyn.

Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home at 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056 with a service at 11:30 am.

Burial of cremated remains will be held privately.
