Donald T. Dennis died, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the Statesman Nursing Home, Levittown. He was 89. Born and raised in Ranshaw, PA, and formerly of the Pennypack Woods section of Philadelphia, Donald has been a resident of Lower Bucks County since 1983. He was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Fairless Hills. Until his retirement in 1994, Donald was a manager for many years with A & P Supermarkets, mostly at Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Donald was an avid fisherman. He was a huge Penn State football fan and also loved all of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies. He enjoyed all baseball and basketball games. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife of 26 years, Catherine (Tetkoskie) and his dear son, Alexander Ferguson. Donald is survived by his cherished wife of 32 years, Arlene (Seman-Ferguson) and his children, Dr. Michele Ferguson Minetola of Allentown, PA; Joseph Dennis of Philadelphia; Richard Dennis of Warrington; Carol Kennedy of Philadelphia; and Heather McLaughlin of Fairless Hills. He will also be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his brother, Florian Dennis, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Saint Frances Cabrini Church at the above address.
