David Bruce Ferry

David, brother to George and the younger of two children, born to Harry Ferry and Ann Ferry (nee Hoffman) was born and raised in Trenton, NJ until he migrated to Pennsylvania in 1985. He was a faithful husband to Barbara until her passing in 2006 and loving father to his only daughter Lisa.

Dave loved fishing and hunting and fostered a love for fishing in everyone around him including his daughter. Another great love for Dave that he instilled in his daughter was his love for movies, especially horror movies. Late nights were spent up watching the scariest horror movies, bonding over our love for them. Dave always wanted the best for those around him and went out of his way to ensure that he took care of those he loved, including his partner Maryann Carlisi-Cowell. Grandfather to Michael and Xandra, Dave always enjoyed when they would come over and spend time with him.

During the early years Dave worked in construction until he dedicated his time to staying home and raising his daughter. Later he went on to work for the Pennsbury School District as a bus driver and operated the waste station for Penndel Borough until he retired. Dave enjoyed his years of retirement and spent his free time fishing, hunting and bowling.

The last few years were difficult and riddled with many health issues including multiple cancer diagnoses.

Dave will be greatly missed and can finally rest without pain.

Burial with military honors will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton, NJ.
