Elgien (Grant) Slupski, age 68, of Levittown, died suddenly on Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home. Born and raised in Donora, PA, Mrs. Slupski has been a resident of Levittown since 1964. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. Mrs. Slupski was a member of the Oxford Valley Seniors and Saint Thomas Aquinas Seniors. Until her retirement in 1985, Mrs. Slupski was employed with Kane's 'N Bag as a cashier for 25 years. She was also employed with Greenwood Dairies. After retiring, Mrs. Slupski became a foster mother. She is the daughter of the late Antoinette (Carmela) and Elgie Grant. Mrs. Slupski is the beloved wife of 33 years to the late Alphonse C. Slupski, Jr. and the loving mother of Danielle M. Slupski at home. She will also sadly missed by her brother Elgie J. Grant III (Jacqueline) of Bel-Air, MD; her nieces, Carrie, Andrea and Sarah and her best friend, Karen Swites. Family and friends are invited to attend to call on Tuesday, from, 9:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
