Carol L. Boyle Carol L. Boyle of Levittown passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, losing an eight year battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Charles and June (Schenck) Snyder. Born in Trenton, NJ, she grew up in Levittown and was a 1970 graduate of Pennsbury H.S. where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended BCCC and MCCC in various fields of study. Carol loved to travel and was always ready to go sailing. She had a huge soft spot for stray or homeless animals and more than once brought one home. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends. Prior to starting a family, she was employed as a mechanical designer for RCA Astro in Heightstown, NJ. For the past 20 years she was a legal secretary for NJ Manufacturers Insurance Co. in Ewing, NJ, where she had an extensive work family. Carol was the best friend and beloved wife of Jim Boyle for 38 years. She was the proud and loving mother of daughter Jackie (Michael Jacobs, fianc) and son Matthew. Also surviving Carol are her brother, Ronald Snyder and wife Pat of Bristol and sister, Robin Horner and husband Scott of Edgemoor, SC. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Barbara Valosin and husband Tom and brother-in-law John Boyle. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Murphy (Tom), Ronald Snyder (Katy), Bill Valosin (Chris), Craig Valosin (Rebecca) and her cousins. Carol's family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to: Mary (her angel), Anne and the staff at the Hematology/Oncology Group, Dr. Todd Flannery and the staff at the St. Mary Cancer Center, as well as the staff at the Oncology Ward at St. Mary for their compassionate care. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, Feb. 17th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home at 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown where her Memorial Service will be held at 8:30 pm.
