Barbara Elaine Thompson

Elaine was born in Plainfield, NJ, on October 27, 1939 to Samuel and Estelle Burgess (Brown). She was a longtime resident of Falls Township, PA.

Elaine worked at Public Service Electric and Gas as a Customer Service Representative until she retired in 2002. Elaine was an avid bowler in several bowling leagues and loved going to the YMCA for water aerobics while she was physically able. She loved the beach, traveling and spending time with her family.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thompson, her brother Robert Burgess, her nieces Robin Burgess, Shanie Alexander, Stacey Burgess, and her nephew Dale Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Christine Johnson (Roland Johnson); her son, Jeffrey Brian Long; her grandchildren,Trystan Elise Johnson, André Eric Johnson, Jeffrey Miles Long and Olivia Elaine Long; her sisters, Brenda White and Delores Alexander; her nieces, Kelly Burgess, Lisa Burgess, Solange Grey and Yasmina Jones; and her nephews, Kevin White and Brian Alexander.

A memorial gathering for Barbara will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056.

Following the memorial gathering will be a burial of cremated remains at 11:30 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
