Audrey Louise Arthur Audrey Louise "Mammie" Arthur (Barker), passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday August 7, 2015 at Crestview Center. She is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Husband Isaac Arthur Jr. , 8 brothers, 2 sisters, daughter Sandy, grandson Billy and 2 granddaughters Nikki and Raquelle. She lost many loved ones over the years and we know she was ready to see them again. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, as well as the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through the past two years. Audrey was born in Mason County, West Virginia to Virgil and Eva Barker and was one of eleven children. Audrey was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and a Volunteer at the local food pantry. She worked as a Sales Clerk at K-Mart where she received the award for employee of the year in 2001. Audrey retired in 2011, after spending 25 years at their Langhorne store. She was married to Isaac Arthur Jr. for 38 years before his passing in 1993, they were both proud to be one of the original Fairless Hills Home Owners. Audrey devoutly cared for her family and friends through her delicious cooking and baking from scratch - including Mammie's southern fried chicken and cornbread, crafts, and scrapbooking. With a real zest for life, Audrey loved to listen to Country music, enjoyed working in the garden, shopping, painting ceramics, playing games and cards especially with her grandchildren, chatting on the telephone or over coffee with family and friends, and traveling just to name a few. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, and always had a spirit for adventure. Audrey was always young at heart, always quick with a smile, and quite the Pip at times. She will be remembered for the strength of her conviction and the twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes. Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters Sue Van Hoose (Mark), Debbie Tralies and Terry Hetzel (Jim). Audrey also leaves behind her 7 loving grandchildren Doug R. Humphreys, Cindy A. Nolan, David I. Humphreys, Pam J. Muncy, Jason T. Hetzel, Kevin T. Hetzel, Logan T. Hetzel, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Audrey's family wishes to express their eternal thanks to all of the Crestview staff and community, especially all of her personal Nurses and Aides for treating her with respect, dignity, love, and true affection. We would also like to thank Life Choice Hospice. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 12 until 1:30 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Emilie United Methodist Church Cemetery. To honor the lasting mark Audrey has left on all of our hearts, in lieu of flowers and baskets the family will be donating items for Audrey's friends to enjoy at the place she had called home for the last 2 years. Kindly send your donation made payable to Teresa Hetzel, addressing the memo line "In Honor of Audrey" to 48 Post Lane, Levittown, PA 19054. With gratitude and love, Audrey's Family
