It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann Reed. She transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family and friends in her apartment at Oxford Assisted Living in Langhorne, PA.
Ann retired after 40 years from Acme Markets where she was employed as a meat wrapper. She was an original Levittown homeowner for 67 years. She was also a life member of the John Billington VFW Post 6495 since 1994.
Ann enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, bingo, and going to the casino with her friends. She was an avid fan of the Phillies and the Eagles.
Ann is the mother of the late Linda Reed. Ann leaves behind her son H.W. and family; and her daughters, Cathy Burden (Jim) and June Ball (Eric), all of Levittown.
Ann also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Joshua, Amy, Jenny, Alan, Ryan, and Daniel; her great granddaughters, Vivian and Olivia; and great grandson Brayden.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann's name may be made to the John Billington Post #6495, 1605 Haines Road, Levittown, PA 19057.
