

William Edgar Barlow, 67 of Lenoir , passed away Monday December 7, 2015 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Barlow was born in Caldwell County to the late William Kenneth Barlow and Ruby Byerly Crouse. Mr. Barlow was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed the outdoors camping, hunting and fishing, loved model airplanes. Mr. Barlow was a former Boy Scout Leader for Lenoir Troop 266. He loved his family with all his heart, his grandchildren held a very special place in his heart. Mr. Barlow was a member of Fleming Chapel Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years Ruby Smith Barlow of the home. His mom Ruby Crouse and stepfather J.W Crouse, two sons William Christopher Barlow of Lenoir and Brandon Lamar Barlow and wife Tammy Reid Barlow of Hudson. One daughter Rebekah Barlow Bell and husband Steven of Lenoir. Two sisters Barbara Barrier and Robin Huss both of Lincolnton. Also left to cherish his memory are six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home in the chapel. Rev. Lester Honson will be officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason White, Forest Wiseman, Jeffrey James, Micky James, Lucas Smith, Josh Talent, Michael Hartzog and Nathan Smith.
