Robert Dale Gaskill

Robert "Bob" Dale Gaskill, age 84, of Hudson, North Carolina went to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Bob was born June 11,1940 in Fayette County, PA to the late William and Dorothy Gaskill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Sean Robert Gaskill.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Granite Falls. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and retired from NAACO, formerly Yale Materials Handling Corp.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sylvia Gaskill, son Scott Gaskill and wife Karen, granddaughters Jessica Ijames (Ben), Lauren Turchin (Matt) and Meredith Gaskill, four great grandchildren, son Bob Harden, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service to honor Bob will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00 in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home at 522 Wilkesboro Blvd SE in Lenoir, NC with Pastor Mike Harris and Rev. Tim Brittain officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
