Peggy Walsh Soots

Peggy Lucille Walsh was born May 12th, 1935 to Fred and Junie Keller Walsh. She graduated and practiced cosmetology in her twenties before marrying her love of sixty years, Odell Buck Soots. She was very compassionate and caring and would help anyone in need. She also had a great passion for anything that bloomed and a green thumb that went right along with it. Her family was very important to her and she loved them beyond measure. She will be missed greatly by all. The most important part of her life though was her love for the Lord and being saved by his grace.

She is survived by her husband, Odell Buck Soots, and their five children. Connie (Stan), Steve (Lee Ann), Timmy (Julia), Danielle and Cindy (Tom). Grandchildren: Jason Bradshaw, Christin Beaver, Buck Harrison Soots, Katie Shatley, Jake Soots, Justin Jenkins and Dalton Soots; her sisters Nancy Ferguson and Barbara Peterson; two brothers, Buddy Walsh and Benny Walsh. She was so blessed as well with nine beautiful great grandchildren. She was welcomed to heaven by her father, Fred Walsh and mother Junie Keller Walsh; sister Ann Enloe, brother Roy Walsh and a grandson, Jaron Soots.

Private services will be held Wednesday with Rev. Gary Waters officiating. Justin Jenkins, Jason Henson, Dalton Soots, Jake Soots, Buck Soots, Jason Bradshaw and Andrew Shatley are honored to serve as pallbearers. Services are entrusted to the care of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
