Michael was born in Catawba County on September 15, 1966 to Joann Triplett Cannon and the late Landon Braswell.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Ford, maternal grandmother, Chloma Yount and his beloved furbaby Binks.
Michael was an eternally optimistic person who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He had an amazing heart full of love for all things, people and animals alike. He always put others needs before his own, never complained, and found good in everyone. He had love for the outdoors and animals of all kinds. Michael never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He had an enormous love for his wife Phyllis, they were very close and have spent an entire lifetime together. Michael was an electrician and worked for Allison Smith LTD.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, and the love of his life, Phyllis Shatley Braswell and furbaby Dobbs, of the home, mother, Joann Triplett Cannon and Eddie Johnson of Lenoir, brother, Scott Braswell and fiancée Sheila Herron of Lenoir, sisters, DonnaRae Ford-Phillips and husband David of Deep Gap and Paula Carlton and husband Donny of Gamewell,
Also left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Warren officiating.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Caldwell County Humane Society at PO Box 1991, Lenoir, NC 28645.
