Mack Bernard Triplett

Mr. Triplett was born in Watauga County on January 1, 1937 to the late Gordie and Doyce Carlton Triplett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Triplett; and a special friend, Pansy Smith.

He was a former member of the Worldwide Church of God. Mr. Triplett was retired from Singer Furniture where he was a foreman. He also volunteered and was a member of the Board of Directors at the Lenoir Rescue Squad and also served as chief.

Those left to cherish his memory are four sons, Larry Triplett and special companion, Wanda Harris of Taylorsville, NC, Mike Triplett and wife, Cheryl of Boone, NC, Steve Triplett and wife, Gidget, of Lenoir, NC, Keith Triplett and wife Chasity, of Lenoir, NC; one daughter, Linda Carroll and husband, Glenn of Lenoir, NC; two brothers, Harold Triplett and wife, Mary of Blowing Rock, NC, and Jimmy Triplett of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Ann Hicks of Boone, NC; fourteen grandchildren, Bradley Carroll, Michelle Brown, Nicholus Triplett, Kyle Triplett, Christopher Triplett, Justin Crowe, Josh Triplett, Brandon Triplett, Katie Simmons, Jefferson Carter Dula, Scott Triplett, Connor Dula and twins, Jack and Emma Triplett; two great grandchildren, Chloe Carroll and Kinzley Brown.

A funeral service for Mr. Triplett will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Pendry’s Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Keith and Chasity Triplett, 3272 Canyon Court, Lenoir, NC. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir, NC.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Triplett’s grandsons.
