Mrs. Davis was born December 13, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late John Grayson Gibbs Sr and Chloe Setzer Gibbs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jon Raymond Davis Sr, sister Sheila Gibbs McGalliard and brother William Larry (Billy) Gibbs.
Libby was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who came in contact with her in life. When you dropped by to visit Libby, it was not uncommon for her to have a tennis match on TV. She loved Roger Federer and could tell you anything you wanted to know about professional Tennis players. She was a beautiful soul and we all will remember her Sunday chicken dinners with all the trimmings, being a exceptional cook. Her guidance and memories will forever be treasured.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Jon Raymond (Chuck) Davis Jr. two daughters, Sherry Davis Shook and husband Tom, Kimberly Davis Jenkins and husband Tony, Sister Linda Gibbs Babb, brother John Grayson (Johnny) Gibbs II and wife Marilyn.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Thomas L Shook and wife Amy, Kelly Ann Shook, Jon Michael Shook, Megan Jenkins Childress and husband Bo, Tony A ( TJ ) Jenkins II and wife Morgan. Libby was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Marley Childress, Cooper Childress, Tony A (Trey) Jenkins III, Lily Jenkins, Harper Shook, Thomas Shook, Dane Leggette and a number of nieces and nephews.
