Lakelyon Marquis Horton

Mr. Horton was born in Caldwell County to Dionne A. Horton of Lenoir.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Leslie Norwood and special cousin Edward Cunningham (Lil Man).

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his only child Lakelyon Marquis Horton, Jr. of Lenoir; a brother, Jordan Horton of Lenoir; his sisters, Cetera Horton, Courtney Horton, Brooklyn Chandler, Autumn Chandler, Raven Icard, all of Lenoir, and Wakia Alston Horton of Georgia; maternal grandparents Steve and Carolyn Bowers of Lenoir.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Norwood, Reverend Lipford, Pastor Wilfong, Evangelist Horton and Evangelist Lipford officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The Horton family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be his family and friends.
