Josh was born on December 13, 1976 in Burke County to Frank Edwards and Linda Swanson Davidson.
Josh is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Clarence and Mae Swanson and his Paternal Grandmother, Lena Davidson.
Josh was an active member of Hudson First Baptist Church, and had gone on a Mission Trip to Moldova with them. He was employed at Shurtape and previously worked for almost 20 years for ATT and Bellsouth. He was a loving and dedicated son, husband, father and brother who was known for his big heart and loving actions. He enjoyed hunting, Duke Basketball, football, and enjoyed coaching youth sports teams. He was also a member of the Hudson Optimist Club.
Josh brought joy to the hearts of all who loved him, and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dixie Lovette Davidson of the home, his beloved children, Hunter Davidson and Allison Clare Davidson of the home, Paternal Grandfather, Donald Davidson of Nova Scotia, Canada, sister, Pam Ingle and brother-in-law Derrick Ingle, sister, Amanda Marley and brother-in-law Kevin Marley, all of Lenoir, his mother and father-in-law, Terry and Dennis Lovette of Granite Falls ,sisters-in-law, Mary Lovette of San Francisco, CA, Tommie Lovette of Granite Falls, his nieces, Abby Rich, Kenna Marley, nephews, Brett Ingle, Tanner Ingle, Landree Ingle, Reece Ingle, Trigg Marley, and Kade Marley. Also left to cherish his memory are his aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor and remember Josh on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm in The Life Center at Hudson First Baptist Church. with Rev. R Mack Jarvis officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at The Life Center.
