John B. Setzer

John Burleson Setzer Jr., age 92 of Lenoir, passed away, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Amorem Hospice. Born Monday, April 14, 1930 to the late Minnie Mayes and John Burleson Setzer Sr., in Caldwell County.

An addition to his parents he is proceeded in death by one brother and five sisters.

Mr. Setzer is survived by his son Steve Setzer (wife Cleda), Grandson Shane Greene (Wendy), granddaughter Shannon Hicks (Jon). Great grandchildren Kirstin Richardson, Sophie Greene, Stephen Greene, and Karson Hicks, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

John retired from Lenoir Corporations as a quality control manager. He worked as a car salesman at Bush Parsons Chrysler and work for himself as a home repairman. Setzer was known for being a hard worker and a family man, he will be missed by everyone.

The Setzer family will have a Graveside Service for John on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00 am with the Pastor Chad Baldwin officiating at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 1545 Orchard Drive, Lenoir NC.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Amorem Hospice 902 Kirkwood St NW, Lenoir, NC.
