Ida Marie Utz Weot Townsend

Mrs. Weot was born March 12, 1942 in Montgomery County, Ohio to the late William Utz and Ida Mae Dunlevy Utz.

In addition to her parents, her first husband, David G. Weot, a son, Michael Weot and a sister, Pat Rittenhouse, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Millard Melvin “Mel” Townsend, of the home, sons, Mitchell Weot of Ferguson, Mark Weot and wife Tracy of Wilkesboro, Matthew Weot and wife Trisha of Boynton Beach, FL, and Timothy Ray Townsend and wife Linda of Boomer, grandchildren, Zachary, Katie, Amya, Amelia and Alex Weot, Ashley, Shea, and Whitney Townsend, sisters, Jean Villars of Orlando, FL and Billie June Christ of Delray Beach, FL.

Also left, to cherish her memory are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service to honor Mrs. Townsend will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Luella Marley officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm
