David Alan Sutherland

Mr. Sutherland was born in Dutchess County, NY to the late Norman Sutherland and Elinor Briggs Sutherland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Sutherland.

He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam Era and was a truck driver with over 2 million safe miles and earned the Landstar Roadstar award. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Millbrook, NY, a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the OOIDA.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vicki Gottshall Sutherland; his son, Daniel A. Sutherland and wife Wendy of Granite Falls; his daughter, Lisa Sutherland Cattier and husband Henri of Lexington, MA; his grandchildren, Cheyenne and Sydney Sutherland and Trevor, Pierce and Avery Cattier; his brothers, N. Jesse Sutherland and William L. Sutherland, both of NY; his sisters, Verna Cunningham of Maine and Jill Sutherland of NY.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in Millbrook, NY at a later date.
