Bobby "Paw Fred" Clay Greene

Mr. Bobby Clay “Paw Fred” Greene, 75, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Greene was born June 8, 1946 in Watauga County to the late Reid and Nellie Greene. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Linda Robbins Greene and one brother.

Bobby was the Pastor of Rockview Baptist Church for over 40 years. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Casandra Miller Reid and husband Robert of Lenoir, Vickie Greene Miller and husband Gary of Lenoir, grandchildren, Daryan Miller Watson and husband William of Boone, Jordan Taylor Byrd and husband Garrett of Lenoir, Chase Miller of Lenoir, Brooklyn Corpening and husband Tijuan of Lenoir, Aaron, Emma and Olivia Reid, all of Lenoir, brothers, Kenneth, Clayton, Rex and Ottis Greene, all of Boone and sisters Reba Watson and Marie Trivette, both of Boone. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Robbins Family Cemetery in Buffalo Cove.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Miller, Robert Reid, Travis Morrow, Garrett Byrd, William Watson and Tijuan Corpening. Chase Miller will be an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home.
