Billy Joe Parker

Services celebrating the life of Billy Joe Parker, 59, of Leesville will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, LA. Bro. Ricky Wead, Bro. Melvin Smith and Bro. Ricky Wead, Jr. will be officiating. Pallbearers will be: Scotty Sorrell, Brady Dowden, Dewey Dowden, Kevin Madeley, Van Fletcher, and Antonio Bruno; Honorary Pallbearers are: Chris Perkins and Juan Ponce de leon. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery, Pickering, LA. Visitation will be Friday, July 26, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville.

Billy was born August 22, 1953, in Leesville, LA to Malcolm Wayne Parker and Anne Marie Littleton Parker and made his journey home Wednesday, July 24, 2013. He was the founder and owner of Custom Welding, Parker Steel of Leesville, where his customers were also his closest friends. He loved them and appreciated them as he served Vernon Parish with his talent and knowledge of his trade.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents: Malcolm Wayne Parker and Anne Marie Littleton Parker.

Billy is survived by his loving wife: Kathy Parker, of Pickering; sons: Matthew Parker, wife, Jodi, and Shane Parker, wife, Shannon; both of Pickering, LA; six grandchildren: Luke, Jesse, Jalyn, Kelsey, Payton and Leah all of Pickering, LA; one brother: Donald Wayne Parker and wife, Anita, of Lumberton, TX.
