Melba Williams departed her loving family on Saturday, March 4, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with health complications with which she faced head on with courageous determination. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, John 14:1 – “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me”. Always keeping her mind on God’s plan, she stood firm in her faith and walked with Him peacefully.
Melba devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She especially loved her role as Grandma. Her love for her family was mighty and unwavering. Until her health conditions made it impossible, you could always find Melba in her yard planting flowers, hanging bird feeders or painting.
Melba leaves behind her loving husband of fifty years, James Williams, who never left her side during her final months. She also leaves behind her son Jamie Williams, and her daughters Stephanie Isbell, and Melissa Coleman. Melba is also survived by two loving and devoted sisters – Lynn Reynolds and Rita Buchanan and three brothers with whom she shares a special bond – Randy Reynolds, Mike Reynolds, and Hugh Reynolds. Melba has three adoring grandchildren, Caleb, Brianna, and Cody - and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on March 25, 2023. Visitation with the family begins at 1pm with service to follow.
