was born on February 12, 1952 to Virginia Addie Hayes and Wilburn Reese in Leeds,
AL. He would have celebrated his 70th birthday next Saturday. He graduated from
Leeds High School in 1971.
Dennis never met a stranger. His ability to connect and relate to most anyone, led him in
a long and successful career as a Broker. While he was dedicated to his career, he was
even more dedicated to his family. In 2001, he married the love of his life, Lisa Reese.
They celebrated 20 years together this year.
Dennis was a man of faith and knew his father in heaven. His family meant more to him
than anything else in the world, all topics he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud
of his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews with whom he always did his
best to support in any way he could.
You could also often find him sitting on the back deck admiring nature or working on any
number of projects around the house. Anyone who knew Dennis, knew he truly loved
Alabama Football, nature, his truck or teaching you a lesson about life; But most of all
he loved having all of his family together.
Dennis was preceded in death by David Reese (brother), Jeremy Reese (nephew),
Virginia Farley (mother) and Wilburn Reese (father).
He is survived by: Lisa Reese (wife); His four (4) daughters Brooke Jenkins (Brad),
Melanie Reese, Audra Patterson (Bryan), Katie Mabeus (Zach); His only son, Justin
Reese (Katie); His seven (7) grandchildren, Jaden, Jacob and Abie Jenkins, Alyssa,
Cole and Sawyer Patterson and Shepard Mabeus. Brother Joe Mac Reese (Barbara);
Sister-in-law Sandra Reese; Niece Stephanie Reese; Nephews John David Reese
(Wendy), Shannon Reese (Heather) and Shawn Reese.
Dennis first visited Montana in 2008 and fell in love with the mountains. He has made a
yearly trip ever since and his ashes will be spread at one of his favorite spots.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in the sanctuary of
Eden West Side Baptist Church.
