Billy “Pop” Hugh Horton, born to Wes and Pauline Horton of Straight Mountain, stepped into eternity on May 22, 2022 while surrounded by his family. He leaves a legacy of two daughters Shannon Odom, Tiffany Tibbs (Chris), seven grandchildren Marcus Odom, Christian Tibbs, Cacie Tibbs, Jordan Seals, Charles Tibbs, Bronson Tibbs, and Eli Tibbs, and four great grandchildren Joey, Natalie, Samuel, and arriving soon Malakai. Mr. Horton is the oldest of five children which include Diane Rooker, Judy Horton, John Horton, and Gerald Horton. Visitation will be Monday, May 30, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the church and Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Ashville United Methodist Church located on 7th Avenue in Ashville, AL. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Service will begin at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Straight Mountain Baptist Church.
