John S. “Jack” Stranick, 92, Lebanon, passed away on Sunday February 18, 2024. He was the husband of the late Rose Marie Stranick. Jack was born in Pottstown on September 4, 1931 a son of the late Stephen and Margaret Seavers Stranick. He was a 1949 graduate of Pottstown High School and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon. He had been employed by Hershey Estates Meats as well as Medford Meats and Berks Meat Company. Jack had been a member of the Lebanon Lions Club; Toastmasters; and the Optimist Club. He loved to play golf; enjoyed. gardening and woodworking as well as writing poetry. Always the sharpest dressed man in the room he often sported bowties from his extensive collection. He had an amazing sense of humor and he loved to dance; especially the polka. Jack is survived by children: John T. Stranick, husband of Karen; Laurie A. Getz; Lisa A. wife of John Sargente and Rebecca M. Williams; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; siblings: Stephan, Mary, Rosalyn and Barbara. Jack was preceded in death by daughters; Susan Harding and Marcia Rohland; and siblings: Eleanor, Margaret, Richard and William. Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm. on Saturday March 9, 2024 in the Mansion at 5th, 450 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
