Harrison James Riley

Harrison attended Deer Creek Elementary, where his mom, Michelle, works as the Art teacher, and was part of the ELE program. He was an emergent reader and loved learning and teaching others everything he knew. In addition to school, he also completed his 1st year of T-ball, playing on the Rangers in the Leander Youth League. He was the fastest player on the team and hustled everywhere he needed to be. He improved so much over the season and was looking forward to playing again in the fall.

Harrison loved eating sweets, and had donuts and waffles every morning. He enjoyed watching Bluey and Curious George and snuggling his mom on the couch. He played with cars and trucks nonstop and could name nearly all of them as he stared out his car window. He loved playing “Tackle the Dad” in the evenings right before bed time. Harrison loved dinosaurs and was enthusiastic about riding trains. Harrison was learning how to ride a bike with help from Dad. He just took his first plane ride to go visit Disney World where he rode his first rollercoaster. Upon seeing the planes at the airport he stared in awe and said “this is incredible”. His life was incredible, he loved and felt deeply, he was a 5 year old with an old soul who taught us what true unconditional love feels like.

Harrison was truly a beaming ray of sunshine to all who knew him. His infectious smile, sense of humor, and natural curiosity were the traits that we all witnessed on a day to day basis. But what defined him the most was his generosity to others. He wanted to make everyone happy, and would give anything he had to put a smile on your face.

There was, however, one person whom he admired the most, and could always put a smile on his face; his best friend and big sister, Dylan. She meant more to him than anything in the world. He took his first steps trying to get to her. He looked out for her, cared for her, but most of all just wanted to be in her company. They were nearly inseparable, and anytime she left the house he was devastated. She will carry him with her forever.

Harrison is survived by his parents Matthew and Michelle Riley, sister Dylan Riley, grandparents Jim and Leslie Riley, Barbara Stroh and his Aunt Karyn Snyder, Aunt Kristina Stoffel and Uncle Chris Stoffel and Uncle Sean Riley.

He will be missed by all that knew him.
