David Clifton Williams

He will always be remembered in our memory and hearts as a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on March 31, 1992 in Austin, Texas. The son of Dave Levon Williams and Elaine Marie Williams.

At an early age, Dave would often take David to tractor shows in The Valley. This was their quality time together, where as a young boy, David would enjoy picking fresh oranges from trees and sneaking onto strawberry fields to “test” the produce. David also was a natural athlete, he played in baseball, from T-ball to coach pitch, and he played in football. And in his freetime he loved to skateboard, anywhere from going to skateparks around Austin to building ramps and rails at his mom’s with his neighborhood friends.

As a young adult, David accompanied his sister, Rachel, on a couple volunteer trips across the globe. Their trip to Costa Rica was his favorite. What was first scheduled as a 4 week trip to help build a church and teach English to children in a village, quickly turned into a six week trip volunteering, making friends and going on adventures like visiting a volcano and zipline through the jungle and bringing home a botfly. His second trip was to Keyna, which went a bit differently than the Costa Rica trip; what was supposed to be four weeks turned into two weeks but nonetheless some great, funny memories were made along the way.

David, as an adult, was proud to be an apprentice for the last three years with the Sheet Metal Workers Union and was already a very skilled welder. He loved to tinker like his father- welding together memorable art pieces and custom BBQ pits. To his fellow coworkers, he was the “ghost rider” since he was known to ride in on his black Harley. Oh how he enjoyed the open road with no specific destination in mind. When he couldn’t be found cruisin’ the backroads on his motorcycle, David was riding around searching for fishing holes in his Jeep 4x4. He especially enjoyed the wilderness and solitude of fishing at the beach.

In 2015, David became a father to Wyatt Jason Williams. He was so proud to be a dad and Wyatt was the light of his world. David loved to work in the garage taking things apart and putting them back together while his son watched. David passed along his love of the outdoors to his son and loved to teach him all of his fishing secrets.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Manvel and Treva Williams; his maternal grandmother, Kay Clarke; and his cousin, Allison Telthorster.

Left to remember the memory of David are his parents, Dave and Elaine Williams; his four sisters, Christina, Angela, Jennifer and Rachel and his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his son Wyatt Jason Williams.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 15 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 1200 S. Bagdad Rd. in Leander. A luncheon and gathering to proceed at his mother's house immediately following the service at 1400 West Park, Cedar Park.
