Jimmy Duel Freemon, age 71, of Leoma, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Maury Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 14, 1952 to the late Jim Will and Flora Freemon. He would go on to graduate from Lawrence County High School in 1971. Jim Retired as the General Superintendent for a commercial construction company. He was a member of Lawrenceburg Baptist Temple and a member of the Crossroads of Dixie Antique Tractor Club.
Jim lived his life in faith and dedication to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was honest in his dealings with all men and well respected within the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cleda Daniel and Imogene Woodall; brothers, James “Sonny” Teat, Verbin Teat, and Bob Freemon; great granddaughter, Evelyn Reese Powell.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cynthia Rooker Freemon; children, Kristy Reedy (Mark), Scott Freemon (Lisa), Jeff Jenkins (Rachel), and Jimmy Jenkins (Rosemary); grandchildren, David Jenkins, Meagan McCullough (Ben), Tyler Jenkins, Katelynn Sexton (Nolan), Andrew Carlisle, Tyler Powell, Cody Powell (Paige), Zachary Reedy, Taylor Reedy, Taylen Lance, Kayle Sanders (Elijah), Lecianna Lance; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; constant canine companion, Buddy.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Ray Luffman and Brother Brandon Smith will be officiating.
Interment will follow at Freemon Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
