Visitation will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bill Jones and Reggie Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Newton Smith; parents, Henry and Claytie Belle Skelton; stepmother, Thelma Skelton; son, Gary Smith; sisters, Jean Pollock, Belle Folger, Goldie McLain, Willie May Skelton; brothers, Robert and Howard Skelton.

Survivors include her son, Clyde Samuel Smith; daughter, Sylvia Smith Perry; grandsons, Tim Perry and Keith Perry (Roxanne); great-granddaughter, Gracie Perry; great-grandson, Dylan Perry; step-grandchildren, Rhonda Pippin, Sandra Wilburn, and Pat Peters; brothers, Tommy Skelton, Henry Skelton, Jr. and Leo Skelton; sisters, Helen Terlecki and Carolyn Bosheers and many loving nieces and nephews.
