Glenda Gail Hughes, age 71 of Leoma died at Southern TN Regional Medical System. She was a native of Florence, AL, a member of New Prospect Church of Christ and a member of Pea Ridge Community Club.
She is survived by her husband C.L. Hughes of Leoma; one son Claud (Melinda) Hughes Jr. of Leoma, TN; one daughter Kimberly Renee (Marty) Hart of Antioch, TN; five grandchildren Chris Hart, Brian Hart, Monica Hart, Colt Hughes and Jodi Wiseman and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin Van Pelt and Elizabeth Ann Van Pelt Whitten ; two brothers Joe Van Pelt and Buddy Van Pelt; and two sisters Jewell Underwood and Frances Koleno.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, December 22, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel with Jeff Smith and Leslie Shadrick officiating and interment in Shaw Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5pm – 8pm Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel.
