Memories are all good of Don and we have been friends since before high school.  I have always laughed at him telling the story of waking up from that horrible wreck and group of us all crying, and then I noticed he was awake and smiled at him.  He was always acting like a big brother, and actually was the match maker for Bob and I.   We will miss you dear friend.  Go sailing thru those heavenly gates.

I just got to know Don this summer as he was moving to Summertown.  I sure will miss our road side chats and seeing Don sitting on his porch or working in the yard!  We instantly hit it off from talking about projects around the house to building his lake and comparing tractor stories.  RIP buddy!

May you be celebrating your new life in Heaven Don!  Many good memories of fun times on the lake, serious talks, coffee conversations on the boat, practical jokes and just enjoying each other's company.  You'll be missed.

We met Don over 15 years ago @ Four Corners Marina. His boat was docked a few down from my mother's. Don had the kindest & most caring soul I've ever met. My husband loved fishing with him & he taught him many tips. He would catch the biggest catfish I've ever saw. Then he would fry those catfish up and feed the entire dock!! Don was as good as they come! We truly need more people like him in today's cruel world. I will keep him & his family in our prayers. Don will be missed dearly.

Don and I become friends 48 years ago I was 21 years old had my first child moved in next door to him I never been so scared of my life to live by myself and he knew it he become my father my brother he watched over us and made sure that we were safe and secure he used to run all my dates away and I told him I would never be able to get married if he didn't stop that he thought that was the funniest thing to this day I would always bring my dates to him and if they didn't stand up to his expectation I wouldn't date them there was something about him he knew what to look for he was a good dad to his two boys he was the best friend 48 years we always stayed contact on every holiday birthday no matter what I love you don and I will miss you forever until we meet again give Keith a great big kiss for me rest in peace

Don was our next-door neighbor until he moved "home" to his beloved Summertown. Don and I shared our vegetables and he could smoke some outstanding ribs! Rest in peace, Don.
