Mrs. Betty Tidwell Wright, age 84 of Lawrenceburg passed away on June 15, 2016 at NHC of Scott. She was a native of Birmingham, AL, retired Piano Teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Montevallo University and the Birmingham Conservatory. She was a Public School Music Teacher followed by 40+ years as a private piano teacher. President of Kappa Delta Pi, Secretary of Phi Mu Alpha, member of Delta Kappa Gamma and American College of Musicians.
She is survived by one son, John Wright and one daughter, Cynthia Wright; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Will, Julie and John Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wright and her parents, Z.O. and Maude Hand Tidwell.
Graveside Service at Mimosa Cemetery, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at, 11 am with John Birdsong officiating and interment in Mimosa Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Saturday, June 18, 2016, 10 am ~ 11 am.
