Beatrice Runnels

Beatrice Runnels, age 95, of Summertown, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Religious and wise, her love for God, family and friends never wavered. She was a remarkable woman—a pillar of strength and kindness who kept us laughing with her sharp wit and clever mind.

She will live on in our hearts and the memories we cherish.

She was preceded in her passing by her Husband, James “Jim” Runnels; Son, Walter “Louie” Runnels; Father, Luther Kilgoar; Mother, Lela Dickson Mcknight; Aunt, Tealy Fielding; Brothers, Walter, Oliver, Bob, and Virgil Kilgoar; and Granddaughter, Sandy Kobeck.

She is survived by her Sons, Ronnie Runnels (Judy) and Tommy Runnels; Daughters, Roberta Brazier (Ray); Peggy Runnels (Bruce); Daughter-in-law, Karen; Nieces, Patsy Ivie (Jerry), Joy Runnels, and Margaret Tappan; Nephew, Johnny Kilgoar; Grandchildren, Rhonda, Kim, Tara, Scotty, Keith, Tonya, Jason, Josh, and Jennifer; 21 Great Grandchildren; 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, and her canine companion, Patches.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Brother Ricky Mitchell will be officiating.

Interment will be held at Old Henryville Cemetery.
