Char, when I heard the news it broke my heart. Bill was the sweetest person I knew. Even though it's been a long time since we've seen each other, I still cherish the memories we made. Please accept my condolences.

Was so heartbroken when I heard of Bill's passing. He was one of the most kind, considerate, and helpful friends I've ever known. During the time I worked with Bill, he would always acknowledge and say "hi" to me whenever I saw him on the job. He'd say "Here comes trouble," which was an endearment to me and always made me laugh.  Every year, when visiting San Franciso, I would pick up freshly baked sourdough bread for Bill. After receiving it, Bill would personally call and thank me. Charlene advised he would make sourdough cheese toast and he "loved that bread." He was always such a joy and great to talk with. These are just a couple of examples of how Bill touched my heart and I will greatly miss him.

I was so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Bill.  He was almost like a second dad to me.   He was a wonderful man and I always enjoyed his quick wit and conversations.

Nothing can take away the pain and loss you and your family are experiencing but just know I am thinking of you during this difficult time.  Bill will definitely be missed.

I was very saddened the day he passed, my helplessness only worsened being there and knowing you still needed to be told. 
I wish I could’ve known Bill better as we were Alabama, Mustang and golf fans. I learned a lot reading his obit, he led a full life. I will miss his smile and friendly wave while driving by your house. He quickly became a good part of our neighborhood as I saw him working in the garage.

Charlene, I was so sad to hear about Bill. I loved working with Bill and was not happy when he decided to retire because I was going to miss him. (I have to admit, I tried talking him out of it for my own selfish reasons.) I am happy to hear/see though that he was living his life after retirement, doing the things he enjoyed. My condolences to you and the family. 

I was saddened to hear of Bill's passing.   I didn't know him for very long but he was fun to talk to, interesting man to pick his brain, and to learn of all that he had done.
I was so happy to get his red Mustang ready for the next step, I heard he drove it more often.  That made me happy.  
We talked about playing golf sometime in the near future, but I knew he would wipe the floor with me, but I wanted to try!

He was an energetic and fun man!  He will be missed...



Dear Char and family,

Bill was truly one of the good guys right to the end.  Every time I think of him I’m reminded of his phone calls which always started with a cheery “hey girl”!  He was the friend you could go for months without seeing but would be the first person to help if you needed it.  He will be missed by many and was loved by all.   ❤️
