Tommie Ussery

Tommie Ussery, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021. He was born March 7, 1938 to Jake Ussery and Hellen Bell in Glenwood Springs, Colorado was raised in Pampa, Texas. He joined the Air Force at 17 and moved to Las Vegas in 1960. Tom joined the Clark County Fire Department in 1967 and was in the 1st Rookie Class; he rose to the rank of Captain during his 33-year career. His loved his work as a fire fighter and captain. He retired from the Fire Department in 2001. He is preceded in death by both parents, sister Louise Temple and brother Billy Jack Ussery. Tom is survived by his wife and companion of 37 years, Donna (Claridy) Stasenko; his son, Glynn and wife, Shelly; daughter Sandy and husband Ron Wright; niece Daphne Malone; step-children Bridget, Shawn, Kevin, and Kelly Claridy and wife Lisa; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and four-legged buddy Kipsy. Visitation will be held on October 24, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, and Committal Services will be held at 3:00 pm.
