Mrs. Sue Chin Yun (Chung), 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014 at her home in Las Vegas. She is survived by Moon Sang, her husband of more than 57 years, sons Tony and Jeff, daughters-in-law Mi Hae and Becky, grandchildren Samantha, Chris, Elyse and Henry, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Sue was born in the farmlands outside of Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the United States in 1963 to join Moon who had come over six years earlier to attend school. After many happy years in Chicago they retired to Las Vegas in 2001. Sue and Moon are both avid golfers and quickly made many friends in the Las Vegas area initially through shared love of the sport. They also maintained many friendships from Chicago, some of whom joined them in Las Vegas in retirement. They are very grateful to their many friends and family members who have brought them so much joy over their lives. In November 2009, Sue was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer. Despite a prognosis of six months, through her own strong will and the support of family, friends, and many talented physicians, Sue maintained a very high quality of life over the past four years. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 31 at 1:30pm at Palm Mortuary Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas.
